About Me
Ginnie’s paintings explore landscape as vessel for healing and comfort. The places she has lived and visited have had a tremendous impact on her work. Ginnie was born and raised in northwest Ohio. After spending two years in frosty northern Wisconsin she eventually landed in central Oklahoma, which allowed for a thorough exploration of the West/Southwest. She currently resides near the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Berea, Kentucky. Ginnie received an MFA in Painting from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BFA in Painting and Drawing from The Ohio State University. She has exhibited nationally and internationally including a residency and exhibition in Kofu, Japan. She has taught at several universities throughout the US and is currently an online lecturer in studio art at Oklahoma State University.
